Academic Articles on the Weekly Torah Reading

Divrei HaShavua: Words of the Week
This initiative from the Temple Israel of Natick Massachusetts Mens Club provides a list of about 10 Hebrew words for each parasha, along with where they appear in the Torah reading and their translation. There is also a format that allows synagogues to include the list in their bulletins.
Jewish Bible Association
This organizations goal is to bring the Tanach to the people. Its home page offers access to several methods for achieving that goal. Of particular note is the searchable 24 year index to The Jewish Bible Quarterly published by the association and the extensive Bible quizzes offering sets of questions about each parasha.

Founded by a British haredi rabbi and a professor of Bible at Brandeis University, “Project TABS’s mission is to integrate Torah and critical scholarship. The site offers a series of divrei Torah on the weekly parashah that incorporate the findings of modern biblical scholarship and a feature called “Parashah Tabs” consisting of short, thought-provoking observations to intrigue and challenge readers to deepen their understanding of Torah. In addition, the site features discussion of the significance of recent archaeological finds from top scholars in the field.”
